John Osmond

A writer and journalist John was the founding Director (1996-2014) of the Institute of Welsh Affairs, a policy think tank based in Cardiff. Formerly he was a journalist with the Yorkshire Evening Post, political correspondent with the Western Mail, Deputy Editor of Wales on Sunday, and a television producer and director working for organisations including ITV, BBC Wales, Channel 4, S4C and STV. He is the author of numerous books on Welsh politics and culture, and a Fellow of Cardiff Metropolitan University. He is Plaid Cymru’s candidate in Preseli Pembrokeshire in the National Assembly election in May 2015.
