Victor Sebestyen has worked for numerous British newspapers, including the London Evening Standard, where he was foreign editor, media editor and comment editor. He reported widely from Eastern Europe when Communism collapsed and the Berlin Wall came down in 1989. He is the author of three acclaimed books of history, published in 12 languages, including Revolution 1989, an account of the fall of the Soviet empire.
